On 21.03.17 the Innovation Workshop „Business models in the energy sector“ of the centre for applied research Urban Energy Systems and Resource Efficiency (ENsource) took place in the location of the project partner Bechtle AG, Neckarsulm (Germany).
„We need new ideas for business models and decentralized and flexible solutions for the networking of producers, so that the energy turnaround can be realised “, said Prof. Dr. Ursula Eicker, project leader, in her greeting.
Five case studies are playing a central role anchoring the research questions the interdisciplinary ENsource network. These are:
Therefore the first findings achieved in the case studies where presented and different subject areas thereof, such as smart metering and e-mobility, where then discussed during the workshop.
Led by Prof. Dr. Dieter Hertweck (University of applied research Reutlingen) 40 participants from research, community and private companies argued new ideas for business models and exchanged their experience.
The outputs, generated by different creativity techniques – such as value-proposition canvas-method and business-modell-canvas – will now be prepared and pursued.
